Tree of Life - Art Exhibition
We would like to invite you, your family and friends to explore “Tree of Life“
Artistic Statement –
Belconnen Community Gallery – Paintings by Phillip Frankcombe
Our Evolution has a destination, and that is to discover the reason for our existence from within, as planned by our Creator.
For many ages and from many cultures, we have been told about Second Birth, Moksha, Yoga, Self Realisation, Know Thyself, Enlightenment and Kundalini Awakening – the connection to our own “Tree of Life” within.
Kundalini Awakening is felt within ourselves and flowers, grows and is developed by Sahaja Yoga’s Thoughtless Awareness Meditation.
This Kundalini has historically been appreciated and worshipped through the Goddess; Shakti, Athena, Mother Mary, Madonna, Isis, Quan Yin and Holy Ghost.
The aim in these paintings is to mix different religions and cultural symbols with scenery, flowers, nature and the elements, to invoke a link with our own ”Tree of Life” within, the universal link that human beings have with the elements and each other.
The “Tree of Life” within is invisible and the subtle energy of the plexuses, chakras and the central nervous system within each human being, which gives us this life, character and enables this unique awakening.
My understanding of this comes from Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi who started Sahaja Yoga Meditation in 1970. A way for each human to reveal this “Tree of Life” in a silent meditative way, to go above the rambling brain.
Acrylic paints are the start, then oils for strength of colour and detail.Handmade stencils are mixed in with the designs, varnish gives strength to the colours and a protective coating.
Thank you – Phillip Frankcombe
