Choice and Control

Annual Report 2024 – 2025

You are here:

Choice and Control is about ensuring that people’s voices are at the centre of every decision. CRCS respects the right of individuals to shape their own lives, supporting informed choices and empowering people to have genuine influence over the services and opportunities that matter most to them.

Programs Making a Difference

Every story is different, but the goal is the same: to help people feel heard, respected and in control. CRCS supports individuals to shape what happens next, from setting goals to making decisions that matter most to them.

Individual Support for Young People

0
% of young people said their voices shaped the support they received.

Every young person’s story is different. Through one-on-one planned support, our youth workers listen first, then help young people set their own goals and make informed decisions about housing, health and study. It’s about putting their voice at the centre – building confidence, choice and control over what matters most in their lives.

People Focussed Aged Care and Transport Services

0
% of participants said that CRCS meets or exceeds their expectations.

At CRCS, we listen first. Every older person’s situation is different, so we work with them to plan the kind of support that fits their life and priorities. Whether that’s help at hometransport options or staying active in the community, our role is to make sure their voices are heard and respected.

Strengthening the Voice of Older Australians

0
% of participants said the information they received was easy to understand

Older people know what works best for them. Through the Aged Care Participant Advisory Group (ACPAG), Living Well participants share feedback, raise issues and help shape services that reflect their priorities. This collaboration keeps their voices at the centre of decision-making and ensures support remains responsive, respectful, and led by lived experience.

ADHD and Autism Support

0
% of participants felt respected by our team

Choice and control begin with understanding yourself. Through ADHD and autism assessments, Wellbeings supports children, adults and families to gain clarity, confidence, and a stronger voice in decisions that affect their lives. With the right information and support, people feel empowered to speak up — at school, work, and in everyday life.

CRCS Families Programs

0
% of Family Support participants said they felt respected and supported.

CRCS gives families a genuine voice in shaping the support they receive. By listening, adapting and responding to what matters most, we empower parents and carers to make informed decisions, express their needs and feel truly heard.

Your Life, Your Say

From planning care to setting goals, each story shows what’s possible when individuals are supported to make informed decisions and lead their own path.

Planned Support

Planned Support: Evie’s Journey

At 15, Evie faced homelessness, violence and barriers to getting help. Working alongside CRCS youth workers, she had a voice in every decision and helped shape her own plan for safety and stability. Now, Evie has secure housing, health supports, financial independence and a clear path ahead.
