Ballroom Ngunnawal Workshops

A free 10-week program celebrating culture, confidence and connection

At CRCS, we are committed to building inclusive, connected communities where everyone has a place to belong. 

We’re proud to present the Ballroom Ngunnawal Workshops – a vibrant and affirming 10-week program that invites participants to express themselves, celebrate diverse identities, and connect with others through movement and creativity. 

Over 10 high-energy, welcoming sessions, participants will: 

  • Master foundational Ballroom categories, including competitive runway and Vogue Femme 
  • Boost confidence, body positivity and self-expression 
  • Honour the Black and Latina trans roots of Ballroom culture while building community right here on Ngunnawal Country. 

 

Location:  Belconnen Community Centre 

When:  Saturdays, 11am–1pm  

Start date: 17 May 2025 

Ages: 16+  

Cost: Free – registration is required  

 

What to bring 

  • Comfortable clothes 
  • Sneakers (heels are optional) 
  • Water bottle 
  • An open mind and readiness to move.
