About Bruce Ridge Early Childhood Centre 

Bruce Ridge Early Childhood Centre (BRECC) is a 72-place service located within the North Canberra Hospital precinct, offering a nurturing, play-based environment where children build confidence, independence and a love of learning. 

As part of Capital Region Community Services (CRCS), we are a not-for-profit provider committed to community-focused, high-quality early learning and care. Our experienced educators build genuine relationships with children and families, creating inclusive and respectful environments where children feel safe, supported and ready to learn. 

Children at BRECC enjoy spacious natural gardens and engaging indoor environments that encourage exploration, discovery and connection with nature.

Support for your whole family

As part of the CRCS community, families at BRECC can also access free support from our Child and Family Practitioners, offering guidance on sleep, routines, behaviour and child development.

Keeping children safe

Your child’s safety and wellbeing come first at BRECC. We have clear policies, carefully choose our team, and provide ongoing training and support. You’re always welcome to ask questions, share feedback or raise concerns. We keep improving how we work and act quickly if something needs attention.

Food and nutrition

Children at BRECC enjoy healthy meals prepared onsite by our dedicated chef. 

Our menus are designed to support children’s growth and wellbeing, with a variety of nutritious meals that reflect different cultural tastes and dietary needs. 

Children are also encouraged to take part in simple food preparation activities with educators, helping them develop practical life skills and positive relationships with food.

Fees and inclusions

We aim to provide high-quality early learning that offers strong value for families. 

Daily rates: $175–$180^

(^ Fees may change periodically and are subject to CCS eligibility.)

Bruce Ridge Early Childhood Centre is located within the North Canberra Hospital precinct on Mary Potter Circuit, close to:

The centre is easily accessible via Belconnen Way and Gungahlin Drive, with convenient drop-off parking available. 

Our 6:30am opening time and flexible enrolment options are particularly helpful for families working in the hospital and surrounding precinct.
