Subtle Within - Art Exhibition
We would like to invite you, your family and friends to explore “Subtle Within”
Artistic Statement –
The invisible energy of the plexuses and central nervous system enables life within the human being. Once enhanced by Kundalini awakening “Subtle Within” flowers and the growth in ourselves is develop by thoughtless awareness meditation.
This Kundalini has historically been appreciated and worshipped through the Goddess; Shakti, Athena, Mother Mary, Madonna, Isis, Quan Yin and Holy Ghost.
The aim in these art works is to mix different religions and cultural symbols with scenery, flowers, nature and the elements, to invoke a link with the “Subtle Within”. This “Subtle Within” demonstrates the universal link that humans have within them selves.
The inner blossoming that has been mysterious, but now available to humans, call it yoga, moksha, second birth or self realisation.
My understanding of this comes from Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi who started Sahaja Yoga Meditation in 1970. A way for each human to reveal for themselves, their own “Subtle Within” in a silent meditative way. Using canvas, canvas boards, MDF, acrylic paints are the start, finishing in oils for strength of colour and detail. Handmade stencils are mixed in with the designs. Varnish gives a gloss and a protective coating.
