6 weeks to 2 years 
Our Banksia room provides a warm, calm environment designed for our youngest children. 

The space is designed to support early exploration and development, with soft play areas and learning zones where babies can move, discover and interact with educators. 

A separate sleeping area provides a peaceful space for rest throughout the day. 

Banksia children also share an outdoor garden with the Snowy Daisy toddlers, supporting familiar routines and helping create a gentle transition as children grow and move into the next room.

2 to 3 years
In Snowy Daisy, younger toddlers begin to build confidence, curiosity and early social skills. 

Children have opportunities for both active play and quiet exploration, supported by educators who encourage learning through relationships, play and discovery. 

Snowy Daisy children share an outdoor garden with the Banksia infants, providing a familiar environment that helps support a smooth transition as children grow and move from the Banksia room into the toddler program.

2.5 – 3.5 years
Our Rivergum room supports toddlers as their imagination and independence grow. 

The environment includes a range of play zones and open-ended resources, encouraging children to explore creativity, pretend play and early problem-solving. 

Rivergum children share the centre’s large outdoor garden with the Kurrajong preschool group, which includes a huge sandpit, outdoor kitchen and spaces for art, exploration and active play. This shared space also supports centre-wide activities and opportunities for children to learn and play together. 

3.5 – 5 years
Our Kurrajong preschool room prepares children for school through engaging play-based learning experiences. 

Children participate in activities that support their social, emotional and learning development while building confidence and a love of learning in a bright, welcoming environment. 

Kurrajong children also enjoy time in the large shared garden with the Rivergum room, featuring a huge sandpit, outdoor kitchen and spaces for outdoor art and creative play, as well as opportunities to take part in whole-of-centre activities. 

Our large, tree-filled garden is a special feature of BRECC. With a hill, sandpit, outdoor kitchen and picnic areas, it’s a rich space for exploration and play. Separate areas for our older and younger age groups support learning, with shared outdoor time bringing children together.
