About Budawang Early Learning Centre

Located in Milton on the NSW South Coast, Budawang Early Learning Centre (Budawang ELC) offers a small, community-focused environment for children aged two to five years. The centre caters for up to 35 children.

Our educators take the time to genuinely know each child, creating strong relationships that help children feel safe, confident and connected.

Budawang ELC size allows for a close-knit community feel, where children learn not only within their age group, but also alongside younger and older peers. This supports confidence, leadership and a strong sense of belonging.

Children enjoy access to open outdoor spaces and opportunities to engage with the natural environment, including caring for our stick insects, which support learning about sustainability and the world around them.

As part of CRCS, we are a not-for-profit provider, reinvesting into our programs, environments and support for children and families.

Budawang is assessed as Meeting National Quality Standards.

At Budawang, our small, close-knit setting supports a holistic approach to each child’s learning and development.

Educators build strong relationships with children, taking the time to understand their strengths, interests and needs. This shapes a program that is meaningful, engaging and tailored to each child.

Children are encouraged to explore, make choices and take safe risks, supporting their confidence, independence and sense of identity.

Keeping children safe

Your child’s safety and wellbeing come first at Budawang ELC. We have clear policies, carefully choose our team, and provide ongoing training and support. You’re always welcome to ask questions, share feedback or raise concerns. We keep improving how we work and act quickly if something needs attention.

Mealtimes

At Budawang, mealtimes are relaxed and flexible, allowing children to eat when they’re ready rather than at a set time.

This approach helps children listen to their hunger cues, build independence and develop positive relationships with food. It also creates natural opportunities to learn about sharing, turn-taking and social interaction, without interrupting their play and learning.

Families are asked to provide lunch and snacks each day.

Budawang is a nut-aware service, so food brought from home must not contain nuts or nut products. Eggs are permitted.

We aim to provide high-quality early learning that offers strong value for families.
