We’re pleased to share this wrap up of our Open Day at the Belconnen Early Childhood Centre on Saturday 9 November.
To celebrate Children’s Week, preschoolers at Ginninderra Early Childhood Centre (GECC) enjoyed a gardening session, guided by Educators and wonderful volunteers Helen and Marianne.
Volunteer drivers play a crucial role in providing transport for people who have no other means of getting to their medical treatments. However, there are not enough drivers to meet demand and the cost of fuel and vehicle maintenance creates additional barriers to sustaining this service. Through the Canberra Day Appeal, CRCS is raising funds to: recruit and onboard more volunteer drivers cover mileage and fuel costs ensure that people who need ongoing medical care can attend their appointments without disruption.
Once a year, CRCS Educators come together for a special day of learning, reflection, and connection. This year’s event at Gungaderra Homestead featured yoga, a brain trauma workshop, and a balloon-twisting teamwork activity.

The Toddler Room at Bruce Early Childhood Centre has recently been on a culinary expedition. The room was filled with excitement as the children participated in a mid-morning sushi making workshop.
We are excited to announce the launch of our new NEIST (Neurodevelopment Early Intervention, Support, and Training) Playgroup at Nicholls Community House. This playgroup is specifically designed for children aged 0-5 who are neurodivergent, including those with ADHD and autism, offering them a safe, supportive and engaging environment to learn and grow.
