Together with the West Belconnen Child and Family Centre, we run a weekly supported playgroup for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children up to five years old and their parents/carers.

This weekly playgroup during school terms aims to :

  • help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children grow as future leaders
  • strengthen links between schools, community and families
  • use Country to support cultural connection
  • protect mind, body and spirits
  • build strong families
  • build strong, proud identities
  • establish a safe space for young children and their families.

These playgroups are great early learning and play opportunities for Canberra kids. Throughout the term, children engage in unstructured play, while parents have opportunities to connect with each other and a range of services, including health and early learning professionals.

No bookings are required. Just drop in and have fun!
