Our Playgroups offer a welcoming space for children up to five years to play, learn and connect. 

Sessions are guided by our experienced Educators and members of the CRCS Families team, and include age-appropriate activities that support children’s development through play, while helping families build connections in the community.

Support for families
Playgroups also provide a chance for parents and carers to share experiences and access support, including guidance on parenting and connections to other services if needed.

Child safety
Your child’s safety and wellbeing are a priority. Our team follows clear policies and practices to create a safe, respectful and supportive environment for all children and families.

Cost and bookings
Most sessions run weekly during school terms and are free to attend. Unless otherwise stated, no bookings are required – just drop in and join us. 

Each month, our Playgroup sessions are shaped by children’s interests, family connections, and meaningful learning through play.

In June, we’ll be focusing on early learning foundations, wellbeing, and emotional development through play, movement, and shared experiences. Our sessions will support children to build confidence, express themselves, and connect with others in a safe and nurturing environment.

We’re also excited to begin preparing for a special community-focused event taking place in the first week of July.

June 2026 themes include:

• Teddy Bear Picnic – bring along a favourite teddy or soft toy for a fun, social play experience
• ABCs and Numbers – exploring early literacy and numeracy through play-based activities
• My Body, My Feelings – building understanding of emotions, identity, and personal safety in age-appropriate ways
• Yoga & Movement – supporting physical wellbeing, coordination, and mindfulness through movement

You’re very welcome to come along and see if it’s the right fit for you and your child. There’s no pressure, just a chance to meet other families, explore play-based activities, and get a feel for the group.
