2022 CRCS 10/10 Project
This year, CRCS is taking the 10/10 Project to even greater heights. We want to double the number of properties we work on and help more people through this project than we ever have before!
Since 2012, Capital Region Community Services (CRCS) has been supporting the local community by providing 10 hours of free basic gardening and yard clean-ups to 10 households every year. This year we are expanding our project to a staggering 20 homes to make an even bigger impact within the community. However, we can only achieve this with the assistance of our kind volunteers that donate their time to help those who are in need of a yard makeover.
This year the 10/10 project will take place on Thursday the 20th of October from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
People who want to volunteer can choose the hours they can donate to the 10/10 project and their preferred activities. Volunteers undertake a range of tasks as part of different teams: weeding, pruning, removing green waste and rubbish, as well as preparing lunch and refreshments.
“There’s something for everyone and you don’t need to have a green thumb to be involved”, says Project Manager, Graham McKerchar.
If you would like to be a volunteer please download a volunteer registration form.
The 10/10 project really brings people together with the joy of a job well done. This is a fantastic opportunity to have fun while giving back to the community. Registrations for eligible households are also open now. Eligible households must be in the Belconnen area. Priority will be given to households that are experiencing any or all of the following circumstances:
