The Canberra Day Appeal 2025 has wrapped up for another year and we are grateful to everyone who contributed, either by making a donation or helping to spread awareness. Thanks to the generosity of our community, employees and corporate supporters, we raised an amazing $6,736.40 – an increase from $5,590 in 2024. These funds will go directly towards recruiting, training and supporting more volunteer transport drivers, ensuring people in our community can get to their essential medical appointments for chronic health conditions such as cancer and kidney disease.
Throughout the appeal, CRCS came together in many ways. Employees enjoyed an indulgent morning tea and a chocolate hamper raffle made its way through the office. At Florey and Charnwood-Dunlop Outside School Hours Care and Bruce Early Childhood Centre, children took part in the Snake Coin Challenge, gathering coin donations from home and then participating in a fun and engaging activity. This was a great way to teach them about the power of giving back and how small contributions can make a big difference.
We would like to extend a special thank you to our employees who featured in our campaign videos – Twinky, Maddy, Rav and Graham. They played a key role in helping spread the message and encourage donations. You can view the videos here: Twinky, Maddy, Rav and Graham.
We would also like to thank Hands Across Canberra for running this incredible fundraiser and to our corporate sponsor, Aldermane, for their generous $1,500 donation.
Thank you to everyone who participated and gave so generously, your contribution has made a real impact. Let’s keep the momentum going for our next big fundraiser – the Giving Tree Appeal!
