Jason’s Story: From Overwhelmed to In Control

At 35, Jason was close to quitting his job. Deadlines were slipping, stress was mounting, and his confidence had hit an all-time low.
When his manager suggested talking to a psychologist, he wasn’t sure — it felt like admitting something was “wrong.”
But giving it a go at Wellbeings became a turning point. Through Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Jason learned simple, practical tools to challenge negative self-talk, understand where his anxiety was coming from, and manage pressure at work more effectively.
As he applied these strategies, his confidence grew — and so did his performance. Tasks that once felt overwhelming became manageable, and he began meeting deadlines again. He also felt able to speak up in meetings and work with his manager to create a healthier balance.
Jason says he nearly walked away, but instead discovered that with the right support, his workplace could be part of the solution. Today, he continues with occasional check-ins to keep his wellbeing — and sense of purpose — on track.
