A Recap of the African Drumming Workshop with Pastor Charles
In August, the Belconnen Community Centre practically vibrated with the lively sounds of African drumming during our special workshop led by the talented Pastor Charles Koker, Executive Director of Celebration of African Australians ACT.
The workshop’s 11 participants seized the unique opportunity to learn traditional African drumming techniques like Djembe and Dunun. The session was filled with energy and joy, and Pastor Charles even showcased some of his dance moves while drumming, making it an unforgettable experience.
The event was a wonderful blend of learning, socialising, and fun, leaving everyone with a deeper appreciation for the powerful art of African drumming.
