Enrol your child
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is a payment from the Australian Government that helps reduce the cost of early childhood education and care.
If you’re eligible, CCS is paid directly to CRCS and reduces the fees you pay.
If you are eligible, this may significantly reduce your out-of-pocket costs.

How to claim CCS
To receive CCS, you will need to complete an assessment with Centrelink.
You can do this by:
- Logging into your myGov account and completing a Child Care Subsidy assessment, or
- Contacting Centrelink for assistance
Once your assessment is approved, CCS will be applied to your child’s enrolment.
Confirming your child’s enrolment
To receive CCS payments, families must confirm their enrolment through myGov after registering with a childcare service.
You will need to do this if:
- Your child is new to CRCS, or
- Your child is returning after a break of 14 weeks or more
We recommend confirming your enrolment as soon as possible to ensure you receive the CCS payments you are entitled to.
Existing families
If your child already attends a CRCS early childhood centre, you will only need to reconfirm your enrolment if Services Australia asks you to do so.
