About Ginninderra Early Childhood Centre

Located within the Belconnen Community Centre, Ginninderra Early Childhood Centre (GECC) offers a small, intimate early learning environment for children aged six weeks to five years. It is a 59 place service.

Our educators take the time to genuinely know each child, building strong relationships that support children to feel safe, confident and connected.

Being part of a vibrant community hub means children are naturally connected to the world around them. Regular experiences, including visits to Tiny Tumblers, support children’s confidence, movement and social development.

Families at GECC also benefit from access to a dedicated Family Room, where you can connect with CRCS Child and Family Practitioners for additional support when needed.

Children are also welcomed each day by Timmy the Turtle in the foyer, a familiar and friendly part of the centre that helps create a sense of comfort and belonging.

GECC is assessed as Meeting National Quality Standards.

As part of the CRCS community, GECC families can access free support from our Child and Family Practitioners, including guidance on sleep, behaviour, routines and child development.

Your child’s safety and wellbeing come first at GECC. We have clear policies, carefully choose our team, and provide ongoing training and support. You’re always welcome to ask questions, share feedback or raise concerns. We keep improving how we work and act quickly if something needs attention.

Food and nutrition

Children enjoy healthy meals prepared onsite by our chef, with options to suit different dietary needs and cultural preferences.

Children are also encouraged to participate in simple food preparation experiences, supporting independence and positive relationships with food.

Active play and movement

GECC children enjoy a private Tiny Tumblers session each week in the Belconnen Community Centre Sports Hall. This fun, active play experience helps children build gross motor skills, coordination, confidence and social skills as they climb, balance, roll, jump and explore.
