The Yurwang – Gulwan – Koori Girls group is an opportunity for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls aged 8-16 years old to come together and explore their connection with culture in a culturally safe and supported environment.
The group focuses on healthy mind, body and spirit, building strong connections with culture and Country, growing young people as future leaders and strengthening relationships between schools, communities and families.
A range of activities are included in the program such as guest speakers, excursions, arts and craft and sport.
There is also a strong emphasis on celebrating days and events significant to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait community in a meaningful manner.
