The Planned Support program at the Belconnen Youth Centre is a comprehensive and holistic approach to helping young people achieve their goals and reach their full potential. It is a resource for young people between the ages of 10 and 25, providing them with the structure and support they need to achieve their goals. Whether young people need assistance finding employment, pursuing education or training opportunities, or navigating community services, the program is tailored to meet their needs.

Employment and Education

Serving as a vital resource for young people as they navigate the job market, the Employment Hub is a critical component of the Planned Support program, It is specifically designed to provide young individuals with the resources and support they need to find and maintain employment, as well as to help them develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the workforce. We know that finding meaningful work or study can sometimes come with a number of challenges and planned support will allow a young person to navigate these barriers with the support of a key worker.

Community Service Navigation

The Planned Support program is a valuable resource for young people who are in need of assistance navigating the complex network of community services and government support programs. Planned Support can provide young individuals with the guidance and assistance they need to access the support they are entitled to, including services such as Centrelink.

Community Connections

The Community Connections component of the Planned Support program places a strong emphasis on helping young people form connections within their community. It recognises the importance of social support and a sense of belonging for the overall well-being of young individuals. By providing opportunities for young people to connect with others, the program helps them to build a support network that can provide them with emotional and practical support. This can include connecting young people with peers at our social programs or to other community groups to meet their needs

Planned Support has no fixed session times. Please speak to a member of the youth team to arrange a suitable time.
