Belconnen – A Village for Every Child

At CRCS, we know it takes a village to raise a child. That is why we are part of Belconnen – A Village for Every Child, an initiative that aims to improve systems across the Belconnen region so children are physically healthy, socially and emotionally strong, and ready to engage in learning and life.

This initiative puts children at the heart of our community, and is based on the belief that every child deserves the best start to life.

The first few years of life are critical to a child’s development. Positive experiences during early childhood (pre-birth to five years) promote strong social, emotional and cognitive development, as well as overall health and wellbeing.

As part of the Village initiative, we understand the importance of having services and supports that are easily accessible and available for all children and families when they need them. We work with a range of agencies, both government and non-government, that provide essential care and support to children and families.
