Christine is a 77-year-old woman who has been engaged with the Involve program since 2021. She experiences several ongoing health conditions, including respiratory issues, restless legs syndrome, high blood pressure, and some degree of hearing loss. Despite these challenges, she continues to live independently and manages most activities of daily living on her own.

She maintains regular contact with her family, including a daughter who lives locally in Canberra and two sons who reside interstate. Her children and grandchildren provide emotional support and remain actively involved in her life.
Chris has expressed a desire to maintain her independence by actively supporting her physical health and staying socially connected. She values her autonomy and is motivated to engage in activities that promote both physical and social wellbeing.
Chris leads a very active and fulfilling life. Every Monday, she attends the woodwork group at the Ngunnawal Community Centre, where she’s developed various techniques and crafted numerous items over the years, including lazy Susans and footstools. Beyond her creative pursuits, she consistently maintains her physical health by attending at least two gym sessions weekly, focusing on Multi-strength and Build Fitness class.
Chris demonstrates a high level of independence and engagement in both creative and physical activities, contributing to her overall well-being and quality of life. Her regular involvement in the woodwork group at the Ngunnawal Community Centre fosters skill development, social connection, and a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, her commitment to attending Multi-strength and Build Fitness classes at the gym at least twice a week supports her physical health, strength, and mobility. These activities collectively promote her physical, emotional, and social well-being, aligning with her goals for an active and fulfilling lifestyle
