Annual Report 2024 - 2025
The Early Years Community of Practice brings educators, health workers, and community partners together to share ideas, strengthen collaboration, and support children’s development across Belconnen. It’s about learning from each other and growing together.
The Early Years Community of Practice (CoP) was created to help break down silos and encourage collaboration across the early childhood sector. Supported by the Belconnen Network Coordinator, and developed in partnership with A Village for Every Child at UnitingCare Kippax, the CoP brings together early educators, MACH nurses, government staff, and community organisations working with young children.
The goal is simple — to share knowledge, celebrate good practice, and strengthen the network of people supporting children and families in Belconnen. Over 2024, three sessions were held, giving participants the chance to connect, exchange ideas, and build professional relationships. A short survey followed to guide planning for 2025, ensuring the sessions continue to meet local needs.
While plans for two new networking events early in 2025 faced some challenges, the work hasn’t stopped. The focus now is on building a refreshed, more targeted program to support early educators and community partners later in the year — continuing the shared commitment to collaboration and quality practice in the early years.
