Tell Us What You Want Community Day: A Huge Success
On 7 June 2024 we hosted our “Tell Us What You Want Community Day” at the Belconnen Community Centre, and it was a fantastic event.
The day was packed with a variety of fun and free activities for everyone to enjoy, as well as a unique shopping experience with Community Fashion Finds. Activities included: soccer, basketball, pickleball, gym sessions, boxing sessions, a toddlers’ playgroup, and arts & crafts (knitting, sewing, and mosaics). There was also a free screening of the movie “Wonka”, and a delicious sausage sizzle was provided.

The feedback we received on our current programs and activities was incredibly valuable. Many of our community members took the time to share insightful suggestions on how we can enhance and refine our programs and activities to better meet their needs. Amongst the suggestions were: adjusting schedules, incorporating diverse activities and improving communication channels.
We also received some fantastic new ideas for future programs and activities. These included: card games, travel talks, underwater knitting and movie marathons. We are excited to take all your feedback on board and will do our best to make your wishes come true.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to making this day a huge success. We look forward to continuing to serve and grow with our community!
