Involve Quilt Project – A Moment in Time
Annual Report 2025 - 2026
What began as a simple idea within CRCS’s Living Well – Involve program grew into A Moment in Time, a community quilt celebrating creativity, culture and connection.
Guided by Therese’s warmth and “why not?” attitude, participants from Australia and around the world created individual squares reflecting their memories, heritage and personal stories. Together, these pieces formed a vibrant record of the diverse experiences and relationships that make the Involve community special.
Completed in late 2025, the quilt was unveiled at Belconnen Community Centre at an event attended by participants, families, volunteers and employees. As people gathered around the finished work, they shared stories, rediscovered memories and celebrated what they had created together.
More than a creative project, the quilt became a symbol of belonging and shared experience. It reflects the friendships formed through Involve and the power of inclusive activities to bring people together.
This sense of connection is also reflected in participant feedback, with 97% of surveyed Involve participants saying CRCS helps them connect and engage with their community.
