Belconnen Child and Family Hub

This year, CRCS launched the Belconnen Child and Family Hub, a new pilot initiative bringing together support for families from pregnancy and early parenting through to age five. The Hub provides a coordinated, family-centred approach that helps families access the right support at the right time, while strengthening connections between services.
At the heart of the Hub is the Family Foundations wraparound support service, offering free tailored assistance for families with young children. Support may include parenting strategies, help with sleep and behaviour challenges, child development guidance, support following trauma or significant life events, and connections to specialist services. Through playgroups, neurodevelopmental supports and parenting programs, families can also build relationships and connect with others in their community.
The Hub is delivered by a multidisciplinary team of Child and Family Practitioners, neurodevelopmental specialists, counsellors, early childhood educators and other experienced professionals. Building on CRCS’ longstanding expertise in supporting children and families, the team provides strengths-based, coordinated support tailored to each family’s circumstances.
Underpinned by the CRCS Child and Family Wellbeing Framework and informed by the ARACY Nest outcomes framework, the Hub recognises that strong families are the foundation of thriving children. By supporting families early and connecting them with the services they need, the Hub helps build confidence, strengthen relationships and improve outcomes for children and families.
