Updates

• Thanks to generous funding from Hands Across Canberra and the Snow Foundation, we will be updating our onsite food and catering facilities over the next few months. We are excited to make these available to the community from July.
• In the meantime, from today, we will have limited food options available at the Social Bean Café. 
• Don't worry: we will still have coffee and snacks available, but we will no longer be making in-house meals.

The Social Bean Café and Emporium is a unique and vibrant gathering place dedicated to fostering a sense of togetherness and social impact within the community. Our mission of 'an inclusive, connected community' encapsulates our commitment to providing a welcoming space in the middle of the Belconnen Community Centre, where people can connect, share and contribute to the betterment of the community.

We bring this vision to life by combining a community-focused emporium and a versatile café.

The café's emporium offers a diverse range of products, including handmade crafts, unique gifts and artwork. It's not just a place to eat or shop but a hub for fostering connections, supporting local entrepreneurs, and contributing to community development.

Regularly hosting events, workshops and activities, the Social Bean Café & Emporium is a space dedicated to community encouraging people to come together, learn, and have fun.

How to get involved

• Become a volunteer: Café & Emporium volunteers connect with community members to access and build their experience. They enable the running of events and activities. Have a skill you want to share?
• Become a stallholder: Showcase your merchandise as a stallholder with the Emporium.
• Host or co-host an event: Our foyer has the capacity for approximately 200 people and is a great space to host or co-host an event with us. We are on the lookout for unique community events and activities and would love you to contact us!
