Capital Region Community Services is seeking expressions of interest from individuals wishing to volunteer their services as a Board Director.

If you would like to make a positive impact on the strategic direction of an organisation while adding value to the lives of people across the Belconnen and wider Capital Region, this is a rewarding opportunity.

About the Organisation

Capital Region Community Services (CRCS) provides a range of high quality, integrated and inclusive programs and services to individuals, families, children, and young people.

CRCS works with community members, local organisations, and businesses to develop responsive programs, services and activities that support self-determination and reduce social isolation. With strong relations with government and other community services, CRCS’s vision is to create an inclusive, connected community.

About the Opportunity

As a member of the CRCS Board, you will be responsible for the strategic direction, financial operations, safety, and major policy issues of the organisation.

The existing members are collaborative, purpose-driven, professional, and forward thinking and we are seeking individuals who will actively engage, contribute, and uphold our values.

Operating within this collaborative and well-functioning group, we will value your experience, time, and efforts to help us propel the organisation forward.

Board meetings are held monthly, and there are additional engagements ad hoc throughout the year. In terms of time commitment, we would need 4-5 hours per months on average.

About you

If you are a professional with 10+ years’ relatable experience passionate about seeing the local community thrive, we’d love to hear from you.

We are open to industry expertise; however, we are particularly interested if you have skills in early education and care, child development, or business development.

Friendly and engaging, you are a strategic thinker, and pride yourself on having a growth mindset. With an intrinsic sense of obligation and passion, you are motivated to support people at all ages and stages of their lives.

Please apply online or contact Peter Humphries (Board Chair) on peterhumphries1@bigpond.com for a confidential discussion.
