The Cool Little Kids is a 6-week preventative program teaching parents how to manage early signs of anxiety displayed by their child. This may include the behaviours such as withdrawn or inhibited, fearful, shyness and difficulties separating from parents/caregivers.

Through the Cool Little Kids program, parents will gain insights into:

1. Understanding the links between shyness and anxiety in preschool children
2. Practical skills on:

  • What to do when your child is worried or scared
  • How to encourage their bravery
  • How to gradually and gently teach your child to face their fears
  • How to help your child become more independent and prepare for future challenges
  • How to reduce unhelpful parenting strategies

Age Focus: For parents and primary carers of children aged around 3-7 years old.

Delivery format: Individual and groups.

Time: 9th May-13th June (Tuesday): 10am-11:30am, 3:30pm-5pm.

Cost: $400 for each family (includes GST &t the cost of the workbook). Both parents are encouraged to attend if possible. Payment is required upfront.
