Professor Shannon Jarrott

Ohio State University

Shannon Jarrott, Ph.D. is a professor of social work at The Ohio State University. She specializes in community-based services, emphasizing shared programming for youth and older persons. Her research of implementation and outcomes of evidence-based intergenerational practice with diverse participants reflects a community-based participatory approach. Shannon is Behavioural and Social Sciences chair for the Gerontological Society of America and Editor of The Journal of Intergenerational Relationships. more

Professor Stephen Isbel

University of Canberra

Stephen Isbel is an occupational therapy academic with research interests in post-stroke rehabilitation, driver rehabilitation, dementia care, public health, and occupational therapy education. He is the Discipline Lead of Occupational Therapy at the University of Canberra, teaches into the Master and Bachelor of Occupational Therapy courses, and is a member of the University of Canberra Centre for Ageing Research and Translation.

Dr Georgia Pike-Rowney

Australian National University

Dr Georgia Pike-Rowney is a practitioner and researcher whose works span the performing arts, classical studies, health, and education.  A singer, educator, community outreach facilitator and trans-disciplinary researcher, she splits her time as co-director of the Music Engagement Program, delivering training and outreach opportunities in schools, care facilities and community organisations, and is Lecturer and Curator of the Classics Museum at the Australian National University (ANU).

Nicole Smith

Community Home Australia

Nicole Smith is the Gerontologist, Registered Nurse, and Director of Clinical Operations at Community Homes Australia and is based in Canberra.

Mel Judd

Community Home Australia

Mel Judd is a companion with Community Homes Australia and leads their intergenerational program.

Dr Helen Holloway

University of Canberra

Helen is a registered nurse, academic and researcher with the University of Canberra, Centre for Ageing Research and Translation.

Dr Nathan D’Cunha

University of Canberra

Nathan D’Cunha is an Assistant Professor with the Centre for Ageing Research and Translation at the University of Canberra. His particular interests include dementia care, ageing and nutrition. Nathan is the chair of the event.
